fiction
Most of my fiction writing circles around concepts of shared cultural histories and personal relationships. I am interested in the mythology of nonfiction and how popular culture imposes on our own individual sense of identity. I am especially focused on the female perspective in the arts and how we create, use, or manage aggression in relation to history.

nonfiction
I have written for nationally distributed print magazines such as BUST Magazine and web-based publications such as Thought Catalog, Flavorwire, and Beautiful Decay. I like writing about California culture, literature, and contemporary/modern art in traditional or unconventional formats.
